Photos FAST WHEELS 2015 on Display in Hradec Králové
Launched on Tuesday, 30th June, the exhibition showing photographs that depict motorsports is now on in the hall of The Faculty Hospital in Hradec Králové, 4th Department of Internal Medicine - Haematology. The show is called FAST WHEELS 2015 and illustrates the car circuit racing via photos taken by four Czech and two documentary photographers, who cover both car circuit racing and endurance racing such as cross-country rallies, e.g., the Dakar Rally or Oilibya Rally of Morocco. The exhibition was opened by Senator Dr. Jaroslav Malý, CSc, and Head Physician of the 4th Department of Internal Medicine - Haematology, Dr. Pavel Žák, Ph.D. and staged by that clinic.
"We allow photo or art exhibitions to be arranged in rooms of our modern clinic more often than not, and we're happy that arts help shape the environment here, and make it more pleasant for patients while waiting for examination or treatment. It's first we've displayed the photos showing motorsports, and to be honest, I'm - me, motorsport amateur - enthusiastic about that. First, we'd wanted photos to be on view till the end of July, but the display attracts keen interest so we decided to close it at the end of the school holiday," said the head physician, Dr. Pavel Žák, Ph.D. shortly after the opening.
The photographs on display have been taken by Czech photographers Petr Frýba, Martin Kozák, Jan Kalivoda and Karel Hrnčíř, and two foreign ones, Richard Kienberg and Pawel Kucherski, Poland. The photo-pictures have been provided by the ČESKOSLOVENSKÝ MOTORSPORT a.s., Buggyra International Racing System, and Svoboda Tatra Team. Dr. Jaroslav Malý, Cs.c. gave a speech during the opening to welcome visitors and three popular car racing drivers, Michal Matějovský, the FIA ETCC Vice-Champion, David Vršecký, the triple FIA ETRC Champion, and Václav Svoboda, a participant in Oilibya Rally and Tuareg Rally, the three who are depicted in the photographs with their vehicles or in single events. Visitors to the opening had opportunity to talk with the racing drivers about their experiences that the photos document.
The exhibition also comprises the photos that have been awarded in the photo competition Golden Eye within the survey Golden Steering Wheel. The exhibition is a touring one and will be on view in more places in Hradec Králové and Prague, then at the motor-show Fast Wheels & Tunning regularly organized by the agency Sport-Press in the exhibition area Lysá nad Labem in November.
